Well…not quite daily recently…

North Fork Area from Apgar Mountain

Montana certainly lives up to its nickname of ‘Big Sky Country’.  While the primary view from the top of Apgar Mountain looks out over Lake McDonald {photo #57}, there are also some great vistas of other areas, including expansive views of the North Fork region of the park and the Livingston Range of mountains captured in the photo above.  This park of the park is traversed only by a couple rough roads in the valley and is otherwise largely undisturbed.  In the background, the Continental Divide follows a portion of the Livingston Range with mountain peaks around 9,000-10,000 feet above sea level…this photo was taken at about 5,200 feet above sea level, so those are some high mountain peaks!
