Sunset Behind Red Ridge

With the frozen Wheaton River in the foreground and Red Ridge in the background (it’s quite white here, but in the summer, it is a nice red color {photo #656}), this part of the Wheaton River Valley is a picturesque location to watch the sun set behind the mountains.  Our cabin was located within the stand of trees in the lower right of the photo.  After a long day of fieldwork (we had actually done quite a bit of snowshoeing, climbing, and snow-pit-digging this day), it was great to enjoy a wonderful Yukon sunset.
