Hollywood Squares – Fort Dix Edition

Check out the dapper 21-year-old right in the coveted center square of this block of army men.  That is Private First Class Robert K. Apgar…whom I regularly refer to as Dad.  This is a section of his ‘yearbook’ from his Army basic training at Fort Dix, NJ in 1968.  From here, he served abroad in Sinop, Turkey and Germany before ending up at Fort Riley near Salina, Kansas.  Kansas is where he would end up meeting the girl of his dreams {photo #326}…whom I regularly refer to as Mom.

Let me just say that I’m glad they met.

Thanks for your service to our country, Dad!
